LUKE HUMPHRIES

Newly crowned PDC World Champion and World No.1 Luke Humphries had a breakthrough 2023 campaign and cemented his place as the best player on the planet, capturing four of the last five Major televised events with dominance not seen in darts before.

During a 49-day spell, the 28-year-old Newbury ace clinched his maiden PDC Premier title at the 2023 World Grand Prix, followed up by victory at the Grand Slam of Darts and the Players Championship Finals. Luke then went on to claim the PDC World Darts Championship Title under immense pressure, defeating 16-year older Luke Littler in the most-watched non-football event in Sky Sports history.

Luke picked up his first dart at only 13 years of age, and the passionate Leeds United fan now has his eyes set on dominating professional darts for years to come. "I don't want to say I've completed darts, but everything that I've wanted to do, I've done now. Now it's about motivating yourself to do more and more. I want to be a double world champion and win loads of majors" Luke said.

Cool Hands’ exuberance and effortless style has seen him rise to prominence as one of the sport’s most exciting stars, favoring the torpedo-styled mid-balanced darts.

Luke said “I had a really old set of darts for so many years, that I knew were not quite giving me the extra performance I needed. When getting fitted for these new darts I had such a clear picture of the shape and grip that I wanted and these are exactly that. I throw my darts with good acceleration and I like to feel that they are perfectly balanced on my thumb for the right launch, and these darts let me do that”.
